In 2006, it was discovered that fibroblasts from humans and mice can be reprogrammed to generate inducible pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), which have similar characteristics to embryonic stem cells. This has created a valuable new source of pluripotent stem cells for drug development, cell therapy, and basic research.
From the initial discovery of iPSC to the current breakthrough, our stem cell research products have always been an integral part of the research of Induced pluripotent stem cell.
 
Product Overview
MeltonVEC™-iPS is a kit that can reprogram Somatic cell into induced pluripotent stem cells. Its mechanism of action is to use Sendai virus to deliver Yamanaka factors. There is evidence that these factors are crucial for efficient production of iPSC. The kit includes three carrier preparations: multi Cistron KOS, c-Myc and Klf4.
