The Sendai virus (SeV) is a member of the Paramyxoviridae family, specifically classified under the genus Respirovirus. First discovered in Sendai, Japan. SeV is an enveloped virus with a single-stranded, negative-sense RNA genome approximately 15,384 nucleotides in length.
The genome encodes six main proteins: (NP) (P) (M) (F) (HN) (L)
Sendai virus has several advantages, including strong safety, high-efficiency gene expression, strong immunogenicity, load capacity(5-10kb) and strong infectivity etc.
