SPECIFICATION

Product Overview

MeltonVEC™ Cell Fusion Kit (HVJ-E), Liquid is a ready-to-use cell-fusion reagent formulated with proprietary fusion particles. It is designed to promote controlled cell–cell membrane interaction and fusion while providing a simple and flexible experimental workflow.

The reagent supports fusion between the same or different cell types, including suspension–suspension and suspension–adherent workflows. Typical applications include hybridoma generation, spindle transfer, nuclear-transfer research, and other cell-fusion studies.

Key Features

  • Broad Cell Compatibility
Supports fusion between the same or different cell types in suspension and adherent-cell workflows.
  • Multiple Fusion Applications
Suitable for hybridoma generation, spindle transfer, nuclear-transfer research, and related applications.
  • Simple Fusion Workflow
Enables cell fusion without the use of PEG or specialized electrofusion equipment.
  • Ready-to-Use Liquid Format
The liquid formulation enables convenient preparation and handling.

How It Works

Nuclear-Transfer Test Conducted at the International Center for Primate Brain Research (ICPBR), Shanghai, China.

Applications

  • Hybridoma Generation
Supports fusion between antibody-producing B cells and myeloma cells for monoclonal antibody research.
  • Suspension & Adherent Cell Fusion
Supports fusion between the same or different cell types, including suspension–suspension and suspension–adherent cell combinations.
  • Nuclear-Transfer Research
Supports donor-cell fusion with enucleated oocytes in nuclear-transfer and developmental biology studies.
  • Spindle Transfe
Supports controlled membrane fusion in oocyte-based spindle-transfer research workflows.

General Workflow

  1. Prepare the target cells according to the experimental requirements.
  2. Add the cell fusion reagent under the recommended conditions.
  3. Allow the fusion particles to interact with the target cell membranes.
  4. Incubate under controlled conditions to promote membrane fusion.
  5. Recover and culture the fused cells for downstream analysis.

Optimal conditions may vary depending on the cell type and application. Refer to the product manual for detailed instructions.
